HELLO
my name is
SHARAAN MURUVAN
Architectural Graduate // Hillam Architects
Casual Academic // Curtin University
I acquired my Master of Architecture degree at Curtin University in Perth in 2019. Through my studies and travels, I developed a desire for community development through education, infrastructure, and facilities that promote social cohesion. I also serve as a young-adults leader in my community and facilitate workshops that educate teenagers about resilience. I have recently completed research with the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre Australia and Main Roads Western Australia.

During my studies, I served on the executive team of the Curtin Architecture Student Association, which developed my skills in managing and coordinating events and drawing together industry professionals for the development of the profession. I am a strong leader and able to work within diverse teams and wide-ranging environments. Whilst I always strive for excellence and am a stickler for detail, my strong organisation, and time management skills ensure that there is always balance and that delivery is never compromised.

I was humbled to have received the E.G. Cohen Medal 2020 which was presented by the Australian Institute of Architects WA Chapter.

I am currently working at Hillam Architects in Subiaco, Perth as well as a Casual Academic at Curtin University.
